Class Schedule
Hello, families and students!
I’m Miss Radtke, and I’m so excited to be your Social Studies teacher this year! I moved from Phoenix to Milwaukee a few years ago and have loved exploring the area ever since. This is my third year at Brown Deer High School and my sixth year teaching overall.
Over the years, I’ve taught U.S. History, AP U.S. History, World History, AP Human Geography, and U.S. Government. This year, I will be teaching 9th-grade U.S. History, 10th-grade AP Human Geography, and 11th- and 12th-grade AP U.S. History. I also serve as the Group Leader for EF Tours at Brown Deer, allowing students to travel both domestically and internationally during their high school years.
Outside of the classroom, I love traveling (I’ve visited 20 countries so far!), reading, and spending time with friends and family.
I believe in building a welcoming and inclusive classroom where students feel empowered to think critically, ask thoughtful questions, and connect the past to the present. I’m excited for a fantastic year of learning and growth with all of you!
Interested in traveling abroad? Email Miss Radtke for more information! Students will have the opportunity to visit England, France, and Spain in the summer of 2026, and the destination for our 2027 international trip will be announced soon.
This summer, our students had the opportunity to explore Berlin, Prague, Kraków, and Budapest, and it was incredible to watch them experience these places for the first time. They walked along the Berlin Wall, crossed the Charles Bridge, stood in Auschwitz, and ended the trip soaking in Budapest’s thermal baths. The experiences they shared, the perspectives they gained, and the friendships they formed will stay with them for years to come.
